As part of their annual holiday program, Clay City School's Band held a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  In 1962, St. Jude’s Children's Research Children’s Hospital opened in Memphis Tennessee.  St.  Jude’s treats more than 8,000 patients a year. These families will never see bill for treatment, housing, travel or food.

St. Jude's is a charity that Mr. Davis, band director, has supported for years.  While he was talking with his students, they decided to raise money and raise awareness together.  After the Band Concert on December 4th and the Elementary Christmas Play on December 7th; they had snacks, pictures, crafts and collected money.  A total of $900.00 was raised.

Pictured are several of the band members.  Holding the check that will be sent to St. Jude’s, is Clay City Schools band and music director, Mr. Davis along with Jennifer Harvel, a parent who organized the St. Jude fundraiser.
