Academic Achievements Recognized

On the afternoon of Friday, September 11, guidance counselor Mrs. Collins hosted an assembly recognizing students who were in 3rd through 8th grade last year (currently 4th through 9th graders) for their achievements on state testing during the 2025–2026 school year. Clay City schools recorded significant growth and proficiency across all grade levels.

Current 5th grader Nolan Smith led the district with the highest overall IAR score in ELA or Math across grades 3–8, earning an "Above Proficient" rating. Current 7th grader Landon Shoultz achieved the largest overall percentage growth.

Additionally, students who demonstrated over 50% growth in ELA or Math were entered into a drawing for a cash prize, with double entries awarded to those who achieved 50%+ growth in both subjects. Current freshman Emma Tolliver was selected as the cash prize winner.

Congratulations to all students on their hard work and remarkable academic progress!
