students reading

Clay City students have a variety of opportunities to learn through service.  Daniel Warren and Kenzi Enlow among others enrolled in FCS course Child Care where they function  as classroom aids working with elementary students all while they earn class credit.    Junior High students also volunteer during study hall time to help in the library, and sometimes that volunteer service involves reading with younger students.  Reading in small group settings is very important as students learn the basics in the K-2 setting.  Through serving to learn and volunteering to serve, Clay City students gain a better understanding of how helping careers are integral parts of our society.
