Students at Clay City have the opportunity to apply for Upward Bound, a federal program based in colleges and universities throughout the country. Olney Central College's branch recently incorporated Clay City into their grant for the next cycle, and students and staff have been excited to have this opportunity. Megan Hildebrand, a Clay City graduate herself, is one of the Upward Bound Counselors who visits regularly. During her latest visit, she and Candace Walker, Clay City Junior High Teacher and Upward Bound Tutor, worked with students as they did a STEM activity using 3D pens to create structures.
