Mrs. Mitchel's sixth grade PE class act as if they are rowing a boat as they play the game Shipwreck. Students following directions in a Simon Says-like manner while teaming up with their "shipmates". Laughter and smiles filled the gym as they participated in the activity!

After Mrs. Ahlfield's third graders checked out their library books, she had them gather around and read a chapter of a book to them. The students enjoy this time and is a great method to introduce them to new materials!

CCJH Cross Country practice has been cancelled Monday, September 22 due to rain.
CCJH Baseball recognized its eighth grade team members this week. Eighth graders Reid Artis and Remington Shroyer were acknowledged for their commitment to the team. Artis played baseball two years for CCJH and Shroyer played one year. Thanks for all your hard work boys!

On Friday, Clay City K-2 elementary students participated in a book giveaway courtesy of the people at The Book Barn in Louisville, IL. Thank you for your generosity and thinking of our students!
Faculty and staff participated in CPR training this afternoon. Thank you to Frontier Community College and the EMTs from Richland and Clay Counties who provided the training.
CCJH/Flora Co-op Cross Country had a great meet at Geff! The students finished as follows -
