
Our lost and found is overflowing! Please have your student come take a look before the end of the year. Anything that is not collected will be donated to the school closet in the nurse’s office.


We have a winner for our contest concerning donations for Shriners Hospital. Remember, the class that raised the most will be rewarded with a pizza party. And the winner is... Mrs. French's 4th grade class! They raised a whopping $151.12. Great work 4th graders! Stay tuned to learn the grand total raised!


The Clay County Farm Bureau Women's Committee was gracious enough to donate reading materials to the Clay City Schools Library. Thank you for providing more materials for our students to read revolving around every day life in this corner we call home! Shown with the materials are third graders Zander O'Brien, Caroline Hinterscher, Bow Maxwell, and Paisleigh Fisher.


School Lunch Hero Day is celebrated on the first Friday of May. This day is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating school nutrition professionals and their important role in providing meals to students. Clay City CUSD 10 has some of the best in our kitchen! Thank you to kitchen supervisor Shelby James and her team - Kim Hostettler, Ryan Peach, and Jen Parker!


REMINDER: Kindergarten Preview Day is coming up! On Wednesday, May 7, any students in the Clay City school district who will turn 5 prior to September 1 are invited to spend one hour in the kindergarten classroom. Clay City Pre-K students will visit during their scheduled class time. The morning session will be from 9-10am and the afternoon session will be from 1-2pm. Please contact the school if you have any questions.


The 5th and 6th grade track meet in Cisne today - Thursday, May 1 - has been cancelled.


May 1st is Principal Appreciation Day, otherwise known as School Principal Day. Principals are leaders in the school that set the tone of the school's culture. Check out the 2025 IECC Ignite Curiosity Summer Camps!
Hosted by Frontier Community College, Lincoln Trail College, Olney Central College, and Wabash Valley College, these camps offer a wide range of fun and educational one-to-two-day experiences for students from grades (completed) 1 through 12. Camps are affordably priced, ranging from $15 to $45 per camp, and are scheduled throughout June, July, and August 2025.

Mother Goose visited Clay City Library to inspire students to keep learning and reading.


Clay City High School would like to congratulate its 2025 Prom King and Queen. CCHS held its prom on Saturday, April 26. Seniors Elizabeth Norton and Keegan Sullens were crowned king and queen. Congratulations to Elizabeth and Keegan!
