
Miss Fender's first graders had an ugly Christmas sweater contest. There were two winners selected who had the most creative designs. However, everyone did such a great job they all got a sticker for their hard work!


On Saturday, December 14, Clay City JH Cheerleaders will host the Annual WEAA Cheer Conference and JV Scrimmages. Conference JV teams will come and get some court time while their cheer squads hold competition. Contests start at 9:00am. Admission is $3.00 for high school students and older, $2.00 for those younger than high school. Clay City FFA will be selling taco in a bag and biscuits and gravy from 8:30am-1pm. Additionally, Clay City Boosters will be manning the concession stand and will have hot dogs. Come on out, catch some basketball, and cheer on these cheerleaders as they compete!




Holiday Dress Up Week is NEXT WEEK! December 16th through the 20th will have dress-up days to celebrate the upcoming holiday. Please remember the school dress code applies to all dress-up days. Start pulling that festive wear out of the closet and join in on the fun!


On Tuesday, December 17, Clay City Junior High Basketball will be hosting a Pink Out Night as they host Iuka. Students and fans are encouraged to wear pink while cheering on the Cubs! Mark your calendar and come out for a great cause and to cheer on your Clay City JH Cubs!


These kids are on a roll! We had four students join our 10 point club. Additionally, we had a student surpass 200 points! These kids are some super readers!

Attention K-2 Students: Birthday in a Bag is coming up! Students may bring a snack and a drink (no soda) this Friday - December 13. It is to celebrate all birthdays in each month! Please contact your classroom teacher if you have any questions.

Clay City Junior High will host its Fall Sports Banquet on Friday, December 6. CCJH baseball players and cross country runners are invited with their parents to celebrate the season's successes. The banquet will be held at 6pm in the Commons.

These kids are moving up on the AR Point Board! One more student joined our 10 point club, another student moved up to the 25 point club, and we had a fourth grader join the 100 point club. These kids are on fire with their reading!
