Mrs. French's fourth grade class raised the most money for the American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge. As a reward, Mrs. Mitchel escorted the students to The Scoop on Main where they were all served ice cream. Big thanks to The Scoop for making this happen for our students! Great job kids!

Fourth graders Hazel Wilson and Lawrence Harvel were the top two fundraisers for the AHA Kids Heart Challenge. As a reward, each student was able to ride a fire truck to school on Friday morning. Mrs. Mitchel and Clay City Schools wants to thank the Clay City Fire Department, Brandon Mitchel, and Jacob Martin for making this happen for these two students. Congratulations to Hazel and Lawrence!

Clay County Young Leaders came to speak to Mr. Wattles' class. The students were informed about farm safety on the roadways. They watched a presentation then went outside to check out a spray rig. The students were able to get in the cab to see from a farmer's point-of-view just how difficult it can be to see vehicles on the road. Thank you to Clay County Young Leaders for educating our young drivers on this type of road safety!

Mrs. Kuenstler's fifth grade class is hard at work learning about the Iditarod. They have read a chapter book, “Stone Fox”, completed literary elements discussion about the book, and then watched the movie to compare and contrast. The students did an Iditarod magazine project with multiple writings as well as completed a musher biography. Currently, they are tracking their musher each day and placing their musher on a map in the hallway. The kids are eager to see who will win the 2025 Iditarod as well as which 5th grader (musher) comes in 1st in the classroom.

Our school total was $3,100 which doubled our initial goal! 19 students completed Finn's Mission of Hands Only CPR as well. Our top five fundraisers were Lawrence Harvel, Knox Bruner, Hazel Wilson, Shyanne Wilson, and Braydon Schendel.

The Clay County Cancer Crusaders will be at tonight's Pink Out volleyball game raffling off a money basket! They will be set up near concessions. Stop by and get a ticket to hopefully win this basket of money! They'll be there and set up by 5:30pm shortly after the C Game starts.
