Clay City JH hosted a "PINK OUT" basketball game this past December to raise money for Clay County Cancer Crusaders. The Clay County Cancer Crusaders is a nonprofit organization which gives 50% of the donations to help local cancer patients and the remaining 50% is awarded each year to a research facility that Clay County cancer patients benefit from. A big thank you to all who attended the game and donated. Clay City Community Schools were able to raise $697. Clay County Cancer Crusaders representatives Rick Gibbs, Nancy Mills, and Vicki Thompson were presented with a check by principal Brian Wattles and students Chase Bangert and Ellen Tolliver.

Hello, Clay County families! Have you ever considered hosting a high school aged exchange student? We are looking for families who would be willing to open their homes and hearts to an exchange student for the 2025-2026 school year. Exchange students come from several different countries to study abroad in the United States, and they truly become a big part of your family. If you have any questions or are wanting to learn more about hosting an exchange student, you can contact Whitney Fielden at whitneyfielden.chi@gmail.com.
