Here is a reminder of the COVID-19 CDC QUARANTINE GUIDELINES:
If you test positive for COVID and have symptoms, stay home and away from others until symptoms get better overall. You must also be fever-free for at least 24 hours WITHOUT fever-reducing medication.
If you test positive for COVID and don’t have symptoms, take precautions for the next 5 days to reduce the risk of spreading the disease as you might still be contagious.
*Precautions include: •Wearing a mask •Social Distancing •Washing your hands frequently •Cleaning high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs.

While CCCUSD #10 works to fill the Music/Band Teacher position, we have a contact with The Music Shoppe for your band supplies. Please contact the school if you are in need of anything for your student's instrument.
JH Baseball Practice has been moved to 5:30-7:00 this evening due to the heat index. At today's practice, Coach Fehrenbacher will advise on upcoming schedule for the week.
Clay City Schools is happy to announce the Fall Festival King and Queen Candidates for both the junior high and high school! The junior high candidates are: 6th Grade - Jaxon Griffith & Elaina Bower, 7th Grade - Remington Shroyer & Claira O'Dell, and 8th Grade - Connor Barfield & Lily Mills. The high school candidates are: 9th Grade - Gavin Jeralds & Kyla Wiley, 10th Grade - Ethan Sullens & Rayleigh Duvall, 11th Grade - No King Candidate & Molly Lindeman, and 12th Grade - Brycen Brewer & Mariah Gibbons.
Clay City High School has elected its class officers for the 2024-2025 school year! Best of luck to these students as they take on such an important role!
Clay City Fall Festival is right around the corner on September 13th!
The schedule of the day is as follows:
• King & Queen Contestants must turn in their cans to Clay City Banking Co. by 4pm
• Parade line-up starts at 4pm
• Parade begins at 6:30pm
• DJ music for the youth from 8:30 - 10pm

The previously scheduled game against Grayville on 9/3 has been cancelled and Clay City will now play Flora.

The school lunch system is experiencing some difficulties and has charged students for meals on Monday, August 19. It is important for parents/guardians to remember that school lunches are still free during the 2024-25 school year. Please disregard any charges that may have appeared on your student's account regarding lunch.
Here is our sports transportation for week of August 19th - 24th.
Mrs. Klein's second grade class is excited to partner with Carle Richland Memorial Hospital to offer the Little Spot Program. This social and emotional learning program encourages students to recognize and regulate their emotions. Carle's Leslie Shan will be visiting monthly to reinforce the Little Spot lessons students will be learning in the classroom. Thank you Carle!
Congratulations John Young! He guessed the closest number of gummy worms without going over at the school library's Back-To-School Night display! He guessed 72 and the jar held 76. John received the jar of gummy worms as his prize.
We were off to a wonderful start yesterday. Good job Clay City! Please remember drop off and pick up is no passing. Also remember if you are taking pictures and walking your kids to the door, please park.
The first Clay City JH Baseball game is Aug. 14 for a 4:30 game time at Leo French Park. Bus will leave at 3:30. If you have time, go support our boys!
